Georgy S. Bely – Tkach

Director of “Lengipromez”
from 1969 to 1979
He
was born in Dnepropetrovsk.
Since 1926 – worked as an unskilled laborer at a sawmill.
In
1936 he graduated from the Leningrad Industrial (Polytechnic) Institute as a
specialist in
“Steelmaking”.
From
1936 to 1945 worked at the GlavUralMet plants as a shift supervisor and in the
position of the
Superintendent of the Open – Hearth Plants in Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg now) and in
Nizhnaya
Salda.
In
1945 he started his work at “Lengipromez” where he developed from an engineer
into
the
Director of the Institute.
From
1952 to 1955 he worked abroad as the leader of the soviet specialists of the
Ministry for
Ferrous
Metallurgy of the USSR
at the construction of the metallurgical projects.
From
1952 to 1967 he performed supervision of many metallurgical projects in the
position of a
Chief Project Engineer.
