Ironmaking Plant. Burden bins of Blast Furnace № 7
The conveyer charging of blast furnaces
satisfies to the most extent the requirements of an efficient ironmaking
process at operation using a beneficiated burden with the minimum quantity of
components.
Till 2011 only two blast furnaces with a
conveyer belt top charging were in
operation in Russia: Blast Furnace № 6 with a volume of 3200 m3 of
“NLMK” OJSC (designed by “Gipromez”, 1972) and Blast Furnace № 5 with a volume
of 5500 m3
of CherMK (designed by “Lengipromez”, 1986).
The complex of the burden bins facilities of
Blast Furnace № 7 at “NLMK” OJSC (with a throughput capacity of 21,000 t of
burden materials per a day) constructed according to the “Lengipromez” OJSC
design which makes provision for receipt, storekeeping, sizing and conveyer
belt charging of the burden materials by batches into the blast furnace has
been put into operation on August 30, 2011.
